Thank You for Attending the 2026

Gingerbread Trail Tour of Homes

The 2026 Gingerbread Trail Tour of Homes has come to a close, and we are filled with gratitude. What began 55 years ago as a celebration of Waxahachie's extraordinary Victorian-era architecture continues to grow because of people like you.

To every visitor who walked through the doors of our historic homes this June — thank you. Your presence, your curiosity, and your passion for preservation are what make this event worth doing year after year.

To our generous sponsors, whose support makes the Gingerbread Trail possible — we are deeply grateful. This event does not happen without you, and your investment in Waxahachie's heritage is one that will be felt for generations.

To the remarkable homeowners who opened their doors and shared their treasured homes with the public — thank you for your trust and your generosity. These homes are the heart of the Gingerbread Trail, and the stories within their walls are the reason visitors return year after year.

To our dedicated volunteers, who give their time, energy, and enthusiasm every single year — none of this works without you. You are the backbone of this event, and we are honored to have you in our corner.

The 2026 Gingerbread Trail Tour of Homes was a beautiful success — and every ticket sold, every home toured, and every dollar raised goes directly toward funding educational programs, preserving Ellis County's local heritage, maintaining museum exhibits, and protecting the Victorian architecture and history that make Waxahachie one of the most extraordinary cities in Texas.

On behalf of the Ellis County Museum and the entire Gingerbread Trail family — thank you. We'll see you in 2027.
